ESDDCS – A big thank you to all fundraisers who have helped.

As a small society we rely heavily on fundraising from our own members to be able to subsidise events, courses and offer support to our families.  All members are encouraged to join in with fundraising wherever possible, whether joining in with an organised event, or undertaking a personal challenge.  A big thank you to all members who have helped raise funds!!

Recent Fundraising Efforts have raised:

Bag packing, The Willows, Sunday 22nd December – £1,094.04

Kind Rat Xmas Party, Totnes , Dec 2013 – £106

Paignton Carol Signing, Dec 2013 – £327.16

Torquay Carol Signing, Dec 2013 – £239.10

Bag packing fundraising at Tesco Newton Abbot, Saturday 19th July.

Tesco Store at Newton Abbot who have offered us all day on Saturday 19 July, to raise funds bag packing.  This is just before the summer holidays start. There would need to be at least 10 people packing between the time 9 am to 6 pm.  It’s a great opportunity to raise much needed funds as it is a big store.  If you can give any of your time, even if just for a few hours then please email Shelly Weston (shelly-weston@hotmail.co.uk).

Dartmoor sponsored walk, Saturday 27th September, 9.30am meet.

This is a great opportunity for all members to get involved in raising much needed funds for the society. We rely almost entirely on members fundraising to offer such heavy subsidies for all the brilliant activities we do, so I want to encourage all of you to get involved, and get raising as much money as possible

Details as follows:

40 is the maxium number of people (inc children)

Length planned for 4 -4.5 hours, mostly flat ish so suitable for all ages and ability.

Area of walk is called Merrivale Walk. (Pass Princetown)

Sightseeing: bronze age buildings, quarries 19 century, railways tracks, rivers and many more.

Ian will make a little quiz book for the kids to search & listen to guide for answers etc.

Dogs allowed but on lead at all times.

Please wear and bring suitable clothing: Decent walking shoes, waterproofs and dress warm, doesn’t matter if it sunny, it gets chilly on the moors. Bring plenty of water/drinks. Bring own lunch.

We will have our own guide to take us on this walk and his wife BSL level 2 signer (both doing this free of charge)

Saturday March 11th 2017 – Fund Raising Event

We are organising a Fund Raising Day at the Barnfield Car Park in Exeter on Saturday the 11th March 201. We will be fundraising all day. We need 2 people on 2 hour slots please email me if you can help on this and
which times can you do.


Venue: Barnfield Car Park, Exeter

Time: We need to man this all day from 8.00am until 4.00pm
